Here’s What We Learnt At The SkinCeuticals Lunch & Learn Roadshow

The events not only provided valuable education for clinic partners but also fostered a sense of togetherness among attendees.

SkinCeuticals took a refreshing approach to education with their recent Lunch + Learn events that were held in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. These engaging gatherings brought together esteemed clinicians, nutrition experts, and industry professionals for insightful conversations on skin health, nutrition, and the connection between the two.

VIC:

The Melbourne event, held on 15th May at The Botanical, featured an enlightening conversation with Dietician Clare Keating from Balanced by Clare. Joined by 40 guests, Clare shared her expertise on nutrition and its impact on overall health, including skin health. The interactive discussion emphasised the importance of a balanced diet and its role in promoting a youthful and healthy complexion. The event successfully bridged the gap between science and practical application, empowering attendees with actionable knowledge they could implement in their daily lives.

NSW:

The vibrant city of Sydney hosted SkinCeuticals’ Lunch + Learn event at Chiswick, which featured Nutritional Medicine Practitioner Chiza WestCarr (Glow Skin Nutrition) who took centre stage, captivating the audience with her profound knowledge of nutritional medicine, hormones and their effects on skin health. With 40 enthusiastic guests in attendance, Chiza shed light on the gut-skin connection, highlighting the significance of managing inflammation through both topical and internal nutrition. The event sparked engaging conversations among the participants and inspired them to adopt a holistic approach to skincare.

QLD:

In the picturesque setting of Hellenika at The Calile, the Brisbane Lunch + Learn event brought together 35 guests who eagerly delved into a captivating conversation with Dietician & Nutritionist Jonathan Steedman from BiteMeNutrition. Jonathan’s expertise in nutrition and dietary strategies for optimal health and skin rejuvenation left a lasting impression on the attendees. The event emphasised the value of incorporating evidence-based nutrition into skincare routines, further cementing the connection between inner wellbeing and outer radiance.

The underlying ethos of the SkinCeuticals Lunch + Learn events was to facilitate meaningful conversations and promote efficient learning. Ren Stewart, SkinCeuticals National Education Manager, expressed her belief in the power of conversation as an effective tool for empowering individuals to learn. Moving away from traditional slides and presentations, these events embraced collaboration and hands-on engagement, allowing participants to truly absorb and apply the knowledge shared.

“The ideation for these events came when I asked myself the question- how can you empower people to learn? In today’s busy world it can be difficult to find the motivation or time. From my experience, I strongly believe that the best learning doesn’t come from slides and presentations, but through conversation. This is most relevant for clinicians, where efficient learning is hands on and collaborative.  Therefore, my initial intention for these events was to provide education for our clinic partners and acknowledge their continued support of SkinCeuticals. Secondly, I wanted to create an occasion that drives meaningful conversation and fosters a sense of togetherness.”

Dr. Tania Romano, the Head of Medical & Education at SkinCeuticals, highlighted the importance of managing inflammation through topical and internal nutrition for maintaining youthful and healthy skin. The research conducted by SkinCeuticals, leading to the innovative A.G.E Interrupter Advanced product, showcased their commitment to understanding the effects of UV-induced glycation and collagen breakdown. The Lunch + Learn events provided a platform to initiate a dialogue on the gut-skin connection, reinforcing the significance of nutrition in achieving radiant skin.

“Managing inflammation through both topical and internal nutrition is vital for a youthful, healthy skin. SkinCeuticals research has explored how to reduce the effects of UV induced glycation and collagen breakdown which has led to the latest ingredient innovation featured in A.G.E Interrupter Advanced. For these events we wanted to start a dialogue about the gut-skin connection with clinician, which our experts in nutrition did a fantastic job of.”
