How This Device Uses Bracelets To Deliver Thermal Energy For Skin Rejuvenation

TECAR Therapy has taken existing beneficial electrotherapies to the next level with its innovative application methods for non-invasive skin rejuvenation for the face, body and more.

Technology proceeds to evolve constantly for the body’s innate rejuvenation and healing abilities. Among the existing innovations such as Laser or IPL, an innovation garnering significant attention is known as TECAR Therapy. TECAR, short for Transfer of Energy, uses Radio Frequency (RF) electromagnetic waves and electro-therapy current to offer an array of possibilities in skin rejuvenation treatments.

TECAR Therapy (distributed in Australia by Costec) combines the power of Radio Frequency (RF) and Electro-therapy current to stimulate the body’s natural processes of rejuvenation and healing. The RF component generates high-frequency acoustic vibrations, ranging from medium frequencies of 300KHz to high frequency RF of 1 MHz. It’s worth noting that the depth of action increases with lower frequencies, allowing for targeted treatment of deeper tissues. This process stimulates circulation, enhances oxygen supply to cells, and activates the lymphatic system, effectively draining unwanted fluid and reducing puffiness.

One of the remarkable effects of TECAR Therapy is its ability to stimulate cell proliferation. By increasing cell permeability, TECAR Therapy enhances collagen and elastin production, leading to improved skin texture and reduced wrinkles. The treatment also involves generating temperatures above 43 degrees, which stimulates fibroblast recruitment and increases collagen production. These histopathological cell changes become visible within seven days and continue to improve for up to 21 days, yielding long-lasting results.

The Science Behind the Technology:

TECAR Therapy employs two active electrodes, known as Capacitive Energy Transfer (CET) and Resistive Energy Transfer (RET), along with a return plate to complete the current flow. CET targets the superficial layers of the skin and soft tissues with high water content, while RET focuses on deeper tissues with less water content and higher resistance, such as bones, tendons, and cartilage. This dual-action approach ensures comprehensive and effective treatment for various aesthetic concerns.

There are two main models of the TECAR device, the Winback 1S, which uses the Capacitive and Resistive handpieces. The next model up, Winback 3SE Pro, comes with both the Capacitive and Resistive handpieces, alongside Tripolar and Bracelet attachments which all fit into the supporting trolley for ease of use.

The strategic positioning of the active and passive electrodes on the patient’s body plays a crucial role in determining the pathway and strength of the heat treatment. This allows professionals to customise the therapy based on the unique needs and concerns of each client, ensuring optimal results.

Benefits of Facial Applications:

When applied to the face, TECAR Therapy produces remarkable outcomes, including refined skin texture, a brighter and more even complexion, lifted facial contours, and reduced wrinkles and double chin. Moreover, TECAR Therapy aids in reducing fluid retention, providing a clearer and smoother appearance.

Benefits of Body Applications:

For body treatments, TECAR Therapy promotes firmer skin, reduces swelling caused by inflammation, and accelerates the healing process of injured tissues. This versatility makes TECAR Therapy a highly sought-after solution for a range of concerns, including lymphatic drainage, cellulite reduction, skin tightening, stretch marks, and body detoxification.

TECAR is also used widely in physical therapy for:

  • Bruises and sprains
  • Post-surgery rehabilitation
  • Muscle and tendon disorders
  • Spine and peripheral joint disorders
  • Scar tissue
  • Vascular, lymphatic & neurological system disorders
  • Pelvic floor rehabilitation
  • Acute and chronic pain
