Celebrity Skin Saviour Kristyn Smith Opens New NYC Studio

Named ‘Practise,’ the luxurious Tribeca space is a minimalistic dream of a design.

Acclaimed celebrity facialist Kristyn Smith has just opened a new skin studio in Tribeca, New York City. Known as one of the best in the business when it comes to getting skin red carpet ready, Smith’s star-studded client list features the likes of Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Jacquelyn Jablonski, and Paige Reifler.

Unlike the majority of her A-lister clientele, Smith keeps a relatively low profile and the discrete appearance of her new space follows suit.

Situated in the Lower Manhattan neighbourhood, Practise is tucked away in a humble red brick entryway. To enter the establishment, you’ll need to locate the studio’s hand-labelled buzzer.

Once inside, a paradise for the mind and body awaits…

The space

Featuring a neutral palette of eggshell and ivory whites, the crispness of the space is softened with artfully considered touches of honey-toned timber and cream soft furnishings. Abstract art adorns the walls and the elegant furniture chosen wouldn’t look out of place in a high-end spa.

Every detail in Kristyn Smith’s luxurious new Tribeca studio has been carefully thought out.

The treatment offering

With over 15 years of experience in the wellness and beauty industry, Smith has amassed an incredible amount of knowledge and expertise. Beginning as a makeup artist in London, Smith was disheartened by the reliance on cosmetics to perfect the skin – rather than treating the complexion itself – so she began working with cosmetic surgeons as a medical esthetician.

With all of this in mind, Smith has curated the treatment menu at Practise with a focus on cutting-edge, holistic skin solutions that deliver real results. Smith is an advocate for taking an ‘inside-out’ approach to the face and her favoured techniques include lymphatic drainage massage and light therapy.

Smith also tailors her treatments to each individual and consults with new clients before treating them to ensure their skin concerns are effectively targeted.

Smith begins each client’s journey with a consultation to ensure their treatment plan is customised for best results.

We love the juxtaposition of Smith’s simplistic studio that can only be entered after ringing the hand-labelled buzzer, and her list of uber-famous clientele. But as we all know, sometimes, less is more.
