La Gaia Joins Elements of Byron

Byron Bay’s newest wellness resort, Elements of Byron, warmly welcomes La Gaia to its Osprey Spa. Ashleigh Sharman reports.

Landing an account in one of your favourite destinations is a dream for any brand but for La Gaia it was much much more; rather a homecoming where philosophy, intention and energy vibrations align.

“We’re just so excited about this project! What the Elements of Byron team has done is both environmentally responsible and sustainable, from a community and indigenous perspective, and like us it’s family-owned so there is a lot of passion to make this work,” says Jean Laing, La Gaia President and Founder.

Recommended to the resort late last year, so strong was the synergy that the La Gaia team presented to the owners within 48 hours of first contact.

Osprey Spa, Elements of Byron

“Osprey Spa was already built so we began working on treatment planning – designing menus around their dreams and aspirations for clients,” Jean explains of the 14 La Gaia menu treatments that encompass face and body, hands and feet.

Surrounded by beauty and nature, Osprey Spa is like a concentrated holiday for the mind, body and soul. An oasis of tranquility within the resort gardens, its private treatment rooms open onto a rainforest courtyard, dappled with soft natural light and greenery.

Having opened in February this year, there are five treatment rooms in total (4 single, 1 double) each with its own private rainforest courtyard; the couple’s treatment room featuring an outdoor stone bath. There is a zen reflection room for deep meditation and relaxation, and a separate pedi and mani salon within.

Looking for a simple, organic experience, to match their surroundings, La Gaia was a natural choice for Osprey Spa and the modern Australian approach to holistic health and wellbeing of guests and staff alike – it’s Mother Earth and precious elements philosophies in perfect synergy.

“We love the community and culture of Byron Bay – aspects of health and wellbeing – and how conscious the community is in terms of product integrity.

“To have them take on La Gaia, like one of their own, is a big boost for us, knowing that we are formulating to our intention and that it is resonating with others,” says Kristen Elise Laing-Herbert, La Gaia Style and Features Editor.

“We really are accomplishing everything we want with the brand, and moving in the right direction.”
