The Wellness Tourism Summit Releases Full Program

In a time when the tourism industry is experiencing one of its most challenging periods, wellness tourism is flourishing.

The 2022 Wellness Tourism Summit will be held in The Tweed, New South Wales for wellness tourism professionals to grow their business and be inspired by other leaders in the wellness tourism space. The Summit is an Australian-first, designed specifically for wellness tourism businesses, media and wellness suppliers to learn, share, and succeed in the ever-growing wellness tourism industry. With an incredible lineup of both International and Australian experts from a range of backgrounds and experience in different sectors, the Summit is aimed to cater for everyone in the wellness and/or tourism sector.

Across the two-day summit on Oct 13 and 14, there is a plethora of informational sessions, networking opportunities, alongside entertainment and celebrations with canapés and refreshments. Day two starts with ‘Wakeup To Wellness’ activity sessions including yoga, beach walks, bike riding or meditation – and that’s all before the summit program even begins.

SPA+CLINIC’s own Nadine Dilong will be presenting “The Evolution of the Spa & Pamper Experience” at the Summit alongside Michelle Reeve from Waterlily and Neil Owen from Spa Vision. A discussion not to be missed.

“The Wellness Tourism Summit will be embracing the theme of Regeneration this year. Wellness
tourism can support the wellbeing of not only visitors but local communities, culture, and the
environment. Given the recent flood devastation in the Tweed region, we can’t think of a better
place to host this year’s Summit.” Founder Katherine Droga said.

And the consumer demand is strong. Globally, the wellness tourism sector is forecast to grow by 21%
annually to 2025. Research carried out by the GWI and Droga & co. revealed that 52% of Australians
intended to take more wellbeing holidays now restrictions have lifted and that 45% of consumers are
investing more in their own wellbeing due to the pandemic.

Whether you work as an accommodation provider, spa, retreat, nature-based attraction, a destination specialist, travel advisor, media professional, wellness supplier or practitioner, this event is for you.

“Wellness travel is no longer seen as niche. Wellness experiences are being demanded by consumers worldwide.”

Katherine Droga, Summit Founder
