Women’s Health Retreat Opens At Hotel JW Marriott

As more and more Australians prioritise wellbeing on their travels, pioneering women’s wellness experts Sarah Percy and Caitlin Ireland will lead a holistic retreat on the Gold Coast this August.

Demand is significantly increasing for wellness experiences that go beyond the superficial, and in response, JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa is stepping up this time in partnership with Female Physio Co., a collective known for delivering evidence-based women’s health care with heart. This thoughtfully curated three-day retreat is taking place from August 1st to 3rd and is designed to meet women exactly where they are, whether they’re planning for pregnancy, navigating hormonal changes, or simply seeking a restorative reset.

Amid growing demand for meaningful wellness travel experiences, this retreat offers a rare opportunity for women to prioritise their health in a setting that balances clinical insight with indulgent restoration. Guests will be guided through a series of expert-led workshops, movement sessions, and spa treatments, all curated to reflect the real-life health concerns women face, from hormonal shifts to pelvic floor function.

A holistic itinerary with clinical roots

Designed as both a reset and an educational experience, the program includes a ‘Pelvic Floor 101’ workshop, a longevity-focused nutrition session, myth-busting Q&As on women’s health, and a floating sound-healing breathwork experience, an evolution of the resort’s popular Aqua Sculpt offering. Movement sessions such as Pilates, led by Sarah on the Spa by JW terrace, will be complemented by personalised 60-minute massages or facials, tailored to include options like pregnancy or lymphatic drainage massage and the sculpting Buccal facial.

Every detail of the retreat has been considered, from a curated dinner at Citrique, the resort’s hatted restaurant, to nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory meals designed in collaboration with Executive Chef Paul Smart and Caitlin Ireland. Guests will also receive welcome pampering amenities and a follow-up consultation voucher to continue their wellness journey post-retreat with the Female Physio Co. team.

What’s planned for the retreat?

The Female Physio Co. Wellness Retreat begins on Friday with guest check-in and a welcome gift courtesy of Vanessa Megan Organic Skincare. The afternoon invites guests to unwind with a Pilates session hosted by Sarah Percy on the Spa by JW terrace, followed by a welcome dinner at the resort’s hatted restaurant, Citrique, complete with wine pairings and hosted by Sarah and dietitian Caitlin Ireland.

Saturday begins with a morning Pilates session and breakfast at Citrique before moving into the educational portion of the retreat. Guests will attend a Pelvic Floor 101 and Longevity Nutrition workshop, followed by a Q&A session addressing common myths and questions around women’s health. An anti-inflammatory lunch is served on the terrace, designed in collaboration with Executive Chef Paul Smart and Caitlin Ireland. In the afternoon, guests will enjoy a 60-minute personalised treatment at Spa by JW, with a choice of pregnancy massage, lymphatic drainage, or Buccal facial. To extend the experience, attendees will also receive a take-home consultation voucher with the Female Physio Co. team, redeemable virtually or in person following the retreat.

On Sunday, the retreat closes with a floating sound-healing and breathwork session hosted by Aqua Sculpt on the saltwater lagoon pool, followed by a final breakfast at Citrique before guest check-out.

“We’ve created this retreat to be a celebration of women’s health – meeting women where they’re at, while giving you tools and space to reconnect with their body. Whether they are preparing for pregnancy, managing hormonal changes, or simply in need of a reset, this weekend will help women and those who treat pregnant women feel educated, empowered, and recharged.”
