The beginning of the year is always an exciting time for reviewing industry trends, as businesses and brands begin releasing their latest statistics and insights into the previous year’s successes or downfalls. This includes TripAdvisor, as the trusted international review and travel booking website has just released their most popular wellness destinations.

According to TripAdvisor, when it comes to wellness destinations, travellers are on the lookout for the most immersive experiences possible.

“It’s no longer enough to visit iconic sites, but instead travellers are asking ‘What more can I get out of my trip?’, ‘How can I bring my travels home with me?’” says spokesperson Hayley Coleman.

“Experiences like a trip to the Mineral Hot Springs in La Fortuna let travellers get deeper into a destination’s fabric and give them the opportunity to take what they’ve learned – or return rejuvenated – home.”
