Introducing SKIN SCHOOL by Dermatologist Dr Samantha Davidson.
In an industry as dynamic and fast-growing as aesthetics, it’s surprising how difficult it still is to access consistent, foundational education, especially for those entering the space from different clinical backgrounds. Whether you’re a nurse, doctor, or skin therapist, knowing where to begin can feel overwhelming.
It’s a challenge that dermatologist Dr Samantha Davidson knows all too well.
“When I first started hiring dermal clinicians and incorporating nurses and doctors into my dermatology practice, I noticed two things,” she shares. “Firstly, there were wildly different levels of education, and some of the best practitioners were completely self-taught. Secondly, even for those seeking education, it was impossible to know where to look.”

Frustrated by the lack of accessible, practical resources, Samantha began developing what would become SKIN SCHOOL – a dedicated educational platform that blends core skin science with real-world application.
The philosophy behind the launch
Initially born from mini in-services and onboarding notes for her team, SKIN SCHOOL has evolved into a structured, online course aimed at tackling the true pain points of clinicians working with skin. “The course is still in its infancy,” she says, “but it’s designed to provide the fundamental knowledge that’s relevant to clinical practice, especially for those who didn’t get this training in medical or nursing school.”
The philosophy behind SKIN SCHOOL is simple but powerful: education should be shared, not gatekept.
“This is a real passion project, born of necessity,” says Dr Davidson. “I don’t believe experienced professionals should hold onto knowledge as power. An empowered, well-informed industry benefits everyone, providers and patients alike.”
