Cosmoprof India Launches In 2018

Cosmoprof Asia Ltd has just announced the launch of their first ever Indian show, which will debut September 10th – 11th 2018. Held at the Hotel Sahara Star in Mumbai, the event has been created to cater to the high degree of growth that the Indian market has experienced over the past several years, which is projected to increase further over the coming decades.

According to industry experts, the size of India’s beauty, cosmetic and grooming market will grow from $6.5 billion to $20 billion by 2025. Annually, growth in the country’s beauty and cosmetics markets is estimated to remain at around 15-20 percent in the coming years – twice as fast as the US and European markets. As awareness of this growth spreads, more international players are expected to increase their presence in India.

Skin whitening products for both men and women are currently leading the cosmetics trend, but other beauty products are not far behind.  Over the last five years, the purchase of cosmetics products has seen a growth of 60%, with skincare and makeup at a constant. The numbers of salons has also increased by 35%, with cosmetic treatments going up 5%. The spa and body treatment segment is estimated to grow approximately $772 million over the next five to eight years.
