Oui, Oui! Celebrate Bastille Day At Your Spa

Soirée Française! Bastille Day is this Saturday 14th of July, and in the name of beauty, love and luxury, here are some fun and fabulous ways your spa or clinic can celebrate the day in typical French fashion. After all, the French have long been synonymous with beauty and elegance – what could be a better fit?

French Skincare
Some of the most divine professional skincare originates from France, so you may in fact already be utilising these on your regular clients. Perhaps you could incorporate a limited edition Bastille Day facial or body treatment using only your best French ranges? Our favourites include Biologique Recherche, Gernetic and Sothys just to name a few – all results-driven ranges but decadent and gentle to use.

French Hair & Scalp Treatment
What says French luxury more than champagne? If you’d like to treat your Bastille Day clients, how a complimentary hair treatment with face and body appointments? Champagne extract is used in La Biosthetique’s new Edition De Luxe range to invigorate the hair and scalp and provide an indulgent champagne experience – without the hangover!

French Nibbles
Of course, you could provide your Saturday clients with some real champagne while they wait for their appointments! If you usually offer complimentary drinks and nibbles to clients on arrival, this is a fun opportunity to theme them in French for the day. Delight your waiting room guests with some fresh macarons, croissants, or delicious soft cheese platters.

French Films
This is a cute and subtle touch that, chances are, may not even be noticed by the most perceptive of clients! If you have a tv screen in your reception or treatment rooms (a particularly great addition to any pedicure room) why not celebrate the day with some French film? If subtitles are a little too much for your taste and you’d prefer some Hollywood glam, meet in the middle with some classics set in France – Chocolat, Sabrina or Midnight in Paris.

French Tunes
Jump on Spotify and set the tone with some smooth French music – there are countless playlist options perfect for salon and clinic receptions. For relaxed but upbeat vibes we love ‘French Café Lounge’ Je t’aime’ and ‘French Summer Morning’.

French Accessories
If you want to have some real fun, add in some French beauty or accessories to your team’s regular uniform. This could be as simple as pearls and a red lip or as bold as a striped neck scarf.

Now simply adjust your ‘Welcome’ sign to ‘Bojour’ and voila. Bizou bizou!
